India gets its first patented herbal cigarette
Herbal cigarettes, often known as tobacco-free or nicotine-free cigarettes, are cigarettes made with a combination of different herbs and/or other plant material rather than tobacco or nicotine.
But unlike their counterparts in Europe and North America, Chinese herbal cigarettes also include herbs in addition to tobacco and nicotine.
They are frequently used as substitutes for traditional tobacco products, much like herbal smokeless tobacco (primarily cigarettes).
Herbal cigarettes are frequently promoted as a way to stop smoking.
Additionally, they are used in acting sequences by nonsmokers or in settings where smoking bans for public places are in effect. Carcinogens can be present in herbal cigarettes.

The Founder.
Since the 1940s, Vaidya Anant Nitsure (1919-1994) had been using unconventional uses of smoke therapy. He conducted research and development on various smoking implements using herbs including those specified in the Samhitas.
His son Dr. Uday Nitsure and later his grandson Dr. Rajas Nitsure received his knowledge and wisdom.
The mixed form was transformed into a Bidi (hand-rolled) by my father, Vaidya Uday A. Nitsure, which had positive effects on a variety of patients. It received positive feedback, and we even received several export orders. But we were unable to go any further because of some export regulations.
At the same time, we received numerous requests from professionals, doctors, lawyers, students, and, shockingly, ladies as well, to substitute tobacco cigarettes with herbal or ayurvedic cigarettes (rolled in white paper with an attached filter).
Since there aren't any herbal or ayurvedic cigarettes that would satisfy the need, we decided to take the initiative and launch this novel idea in both the Indian and international markets.
Ayurveda is the age-old and traditional kind of medicine, as we are all aware.
In their separate Samhitas, Acharyas like Charaka, Sushruta, and Vagbhatta very deftly articulated the concept of Dhoompan (medical smoking).
Based on this wealth of knowledge, we began doing research and development in 1998 to create a Regular Cigarette shape that would resemble tobacco cigarettes.
We were able to create a herbal/ayurvedic cigarette that looked like a tobacco cigarette and was rolled in typical white cigarette paper.
We also came to the conclusion that herbal and ayurvedic cigarettes were assisting patients in quitting smoking.
By using smoking treatment, smokers can simply stop smoking because there are no addictive substances in cigarettes. We are pleased to share these testimonials with you. Numerous customers, especially women, have thanked us for helping their husbands quit smoking thanks to our product.
What advantages do herbal cigarette substitutes like Maruk and Temburini offer?
It's really advantageous. The idea of dhoompaan, according to Ayurvedic writings, aids in the treatment of Kanthagata doshas (diseases of the throat) and aids in the reduction of UrdhvaJatrugata doshas (Diseases related to organs above the neck region). Then it aids in preserving the Kapha doshas.
Maruk & Temburini provides freshness, lightness, and a relaxing impact on the Head, Throat, and Chest while aiding in toxin reduction.
Additionally, it aids in the treatment of depression and stress.
What herbs are utilised in each of your blends?
In reality, there are a number of them, including Rosa (rose), Mentha (mint), Nelumbo Ucifera (lotus), Curcuma Longa (turmeric), Glycyrrhiza Glabra (licorice), Syzygium Aromaticum (clove), Cinnamomum Verum (cinnamon), and Chrysopogon Zizanioides (Vetiver). Following trials conducted over the previous 70 years, all of these were chosen.
What new developments have you made in herbal cigarettes?
The combustion of existing herbal or ayurvedic cigarettes is improper since they contain ayurvedic substances in powder or granular form. The existing cigarette's ash emits an unpleasant stench and also comes off without the user tapping it. Our goal was to create a ayurvedic cigarette that wasn't made of tobacco or nicotine and had medical benefits to aid smokers in quitting tobacco.
Additionally, the end opposite the filter tip must be closed in the current cigarette, although it is open in standard tobacco cigarettes, to prevent the powdered Ayurvedic substances from spilling out.
To produce Ayurvedic medicine is one of the goals of the current invention.

The herbal or ayurvedic cigarette provides medical benefits and is free of tobacco and nicotine. Additionally, it offers the enjoyment of smoking.
Additionally, it can be smoked as a medicine for conditions like bronchitis, a persistent cough, tooth issues, and oral hygiene. Herbal cigarettes or Ayurvedic cigarettes aid in tobacco cessation.
